Pantone Colors of the Year

Pantone Colors of the Year, Ultimate Gray + Illuminating, Are A Joyful Interior Design Pairing

For over 20 years, global color forecaster - the Pantone Color Institute - has designated a color of the year. The highly anticipated announcement influences design and trends across industries, encapsulating the feeling of the moment and predicting themes that will be most relevant in the year to come. The chosen color’s influence shows up on runways, in stores, and throughout magazines and advertisements. 2020’s color of the year was Classic Blue — a nod to timelessness, elegance, and simplicity.

This year, two colors were presented in an uplifting combination: Ultimate Gray and Illuminating. “The union of an enduring Ultimate Gray with the vibrant yellow Illuminating expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this is a color combination that gives us resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged and uplifted; this is essential to the human spirit,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.

We have curated our favorite wall art pieces that show off this new color combination. Amazingly cheerful and easy to incorporate into space design, here are pieces that will brighten and elevate each room.
